I have components in the fronts. The crossover is located just above the speaker similar to BigTDogg (MA). I have always liked the stealth look so I installed the tweeters in the A/C vents. With this location you don't have to worry about cutting into the door. It's not ideal but the sound imaging is more than acceptable when the vents have been positioned properly. All speakers can be installed using the Bose enclosures.I also STRONGLY suggest the the use of some sound deadening materials. I am currently installing some materials and I am using B- Quiet Ultimate ( just as effective as the name brand Dynamat but cost significantly less), with Ensolite (a closed cell foam). Halfway through the install, I have already begun to hear a dramatic change in my sound image (specifically an enhancement in clarity an mid-frequency response and decrease in road noise). In addition, I also have components in the rear with two 10" subs in custom boxes built by Chris on this forum.
